The Golden Heart Inn

I was kind of dating this girl, and we drove from Manchester to Stonehenge for Winter Solstice. She got super weird when she discovered that I 'd never heard Wham 's 'Last Christmas ' before, and refused to stop the car for most the journey home. I was just dying of hunger and all she 'd let me eat were jaffa cakes. She just kept playing the soundtrack to Footloose as I begged for lunch and finally, finally she skidded into this joint where we hung with the elder locals and had a delightful meal--plowman 's lunches all around! Eat here--don 't date that girl.

Found this little gem by chance at lunch time. It is a nice old public house inside and a nice seating area outside, on a sunny day it is lovely to sit outside, there is a beautiful view but the main road noise can be heard, just sit further back in the garden and you will be fine, the pun had low beam ceilings and currently going renovation but is open for business. I was very impressed by the vegetarian and vegan food menu.

Quite out of the way but with a large garden with lovely views and full of character inside. Very peculiar menu for a pub, though they pull it off well. I had an ostrich steak and it was absolutely cracking. Service is neither here nor there.

we thought we had lunch and had burger and chips. tasteful, really well cooked, chips were to die. I recommend you visit it also has a very good vegetarian and vegan menu .. kayley the barmaid was fantastic

Quaint country pub with a roaring open fire and great food. Also carries a selection of interesting lagers from Cotswold brewery, I particularly enjoyed the Cotswold Winter lager.
