The Golden Hind - Table reservation

Had booked a table of nine for teatime as we were 6 adults and 3 little ones. The occasion was a family birthday celebration and the staff were amazing. So helpful and friendly. We have a 3 year old granddaughter who is a coeliac sufferer and the young lady who helped us choose her food could not have done more to ensure the food they served to us was safe. This pub has a full separate menu from which you can choose gluten free food but she went one step further and individually went through the childrens menu to see if something could be chosen from there in a smaller portion. Amazing quality food at a good price but high quality customer service is a rarity in today’s society.

Starters was a nachos sharer…average. Mains was beef ale pie. We were not offered a choice of mash or chips…so it came with chips. Served with undercooked broccoli, the pie crust was clearly over heated making it tough. The filling was the best thing about the meal! Luckily we had a gift voucher so only paid for the drinks. Would not have chosen to eat there had we not had the gift voucher.

I have lived down the road from this pub my whole life and went for the first time this week! Staff are lovely, drinks and food are very reasonably priced and delicious! A lovely man helped me out when I had lost my passport. A wonderful, wonderful pub we will definitely be going again!

Had a nice evening here, out the 4 of us and the pub didn't disappoint, lovely variety of 0% alcohol. Pub was busy but the food still came out in a timely manner. Bacon and blue burger was delicious

Tried this place for the first time. Amazing cheap cocktails and a large varied menu. The food was amazing. Good friendly service.Will definitely come back.
