We happened upon The Grail not knowing what to think. It advertises itself as a savory and sweet cafe. We found a combination of wonderful choices (vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian there are meat options too but these are the ones we eat) all wonderfully prepared. The soup was delicious and served with a freshly baked wholemeal roll served warm. We had a perfectly prepared mackerel salad on rye with greens that my boyfriend ate up quickly. There was hummus too, served with pita bread. It was all excellent! Coffee was great.The people were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.
We went here after seeing an advert on Facebook what a lovely surprise cosy little cafe with a lovely surprise downstairs, just like a secret grotto with extra beautiful seating areas! Ladies that run/own the cafe are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful coffee and I had the pancakes with fresh fruit and maple syrup and my other half had the mackerel pate and fresh salad on toast. Everything was delicious will definitely be back
I visit The Grail every week with my boyfriend, and we always enjoy their delicious cakes and coffee. The cakes are always made perfectly and taste fabulous. The cappuccino is also excellent, the best coffee I've ever had. Whether you're alone or with someone, The Grail is a fantastic place to visit. I highly recommend this lovely hidden gem.
The Grail in Aberystwyth is the only cafe/restaurant in town with a wide range of vegan options. I couldn't resist trying three different dishes! The watercress soup was incredible, the cashew burger was delicious, and the mushroom patê was top-notch. It's my go-to place for vegan food with great customer service from Red and her family.

Went to this cafe on my last morning in Aber and wished I had found it sooner as the cakes and freshly made lunch options looked really unusual and tasty. Enjoyed a cappuccino easily the best coffee I had during my trip. This would be a lovely place to study or meet friends in.
Tucked away but a short walk from the centre. A lovely feel and a friendly welcome. The coffee was very good as was the cake if a little on the small side. I felt relaxed and would certainly revisit
