My husband and I were visiting Bath for the Christmas market and were thrilled to be in town on the same day as old friends we hadn't seen in years due to covid and distance. We decided to try out the Grumpy Baker based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. We spent a few hours at the café with our suitcases, as we were flying home right after lunch. Everyone was accommodating and we never felt like we were in the way. We enjoyed coffee, toasted Panini's, tea, and delicious cakes. This is a fantastic cafe. Staff are brilliant, kind and caring. We are treated just like a family community. The most recent bad review should be ignored. I was there at the tail end of the incident and the lady concerned was not upset but was rude. The staff were very upset and did not deserve the treatment. Your regulars love you all.
