2 of us booked as I heard it was nice and was really looking forward to trying here. We had 3 courses each and I was starving, my first 2 courses were fine, good pub grub. I ordered the sweet off the specials and unfortunately it was off, rancidly off. When they put it in front of me I could smell a horrible smell, I honestly didn’t think it would be the sweet so decided to try it, I had to spit it out. I could only describe the taste and smell as out of date cottage cheese and that is being polite. I did make the owner/manager aware and he took it away. He came back to say he had tasted it and it was fine, I explained it really wasn’t and even the smell was stomach wrenching but he continue...
Atmosphere and staff are lovely but food is not good value for money. Actually left upset that I'd paid nearly 100£ for the food here and had to go home and make dinner. The roast dinner is so bland, the gravy has a burnt flavour, aneamic roast potatoes. Thai green curry is a child size portion for £14. Overall, I would not go again for food but nice place for drinks.
Lovely meal steak and ale pie was delicious as were all the meals we had. Very friendly staff. Good value for money. Nice garden to sit out in. All in all great. Thanks Will definitely return

Even though our food choice was pre-booked, it still took 45 minutes for it to arrive at the table. The pub was not all that busy.
