beautiful large living spoons. usual friendly staff. spoons prizes. real ale festival with a good selection. what is not to like. also pleased to see that the manager gently throw out someone who was not disturbing was much worse for wear.
One of my very first Spoons I ever went to 24 years ago. I like the fact toilets are ground floor, very rare! Gary was the landlord from that 24 years ago, and he was here 5 years ago when I last came. Didn't see him this time!
Very well run Spoons, all on one floor (including the loos! good bar and food service, plenty of seating for groups of all sizes, good mix of punters, family friendly during the day but staff not tolerant of loose children.
typical wetherspoons, decently decorated, decent eating and drinking. Whenever I'm at a place I don't know, I'm going after an obspoons as they all keep on a standard. the best feature is the statue of the invisible man.
