So… it’s complicated. We go here all the time because it’s close and like the food. For the most part, food has always been good, but we stick to our favorites. But the thing that really makes us think twice about coming back is the service. The staff is friendly, nothing outstanding but that’s ok, we don’t need to be doted on. It’s the closing times that are honestly the worst, they close at 10pm, but if you happen to be in the dining room at 9pm, sometimes 8:30, you will undoubtedly be surrounded by chairs up on the tables before you’ve even gotten your food. The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with a wide variety of options available on the menu for a gastro pub. The beer selection is impressive as well. It's a great place to watch a game at the bar or enjoy a cozy setting while indulging in some comforting dishes. The chicken wings are particularly delicious, and the chicken pot pie is even better than what my wife makes. The diverse menu entices you to return and try out all the different offerings.
The Hideaway is truly a gem hidden in Ridgefield. Every single time I have had the pleasure of dining here, the gentleman bartender has greeted me by name. I always feel like there is a warm welcome, a fun atmosphere, and delicious food. You can not go wrong with a single item on their menu. I always recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a casual, yet delicious meal. :

Cute atmospheric vibe. Not stuck up and good food. Service was great as well as beer selection. Prices a bit high, but it's less than others in the area so take it as a plus. Would to back often if I lived in the area but am glad I found it when I'm around that way for next time.
I was looking for a spot to have a quick meal and escape traffic, and found a new favorite place. The atmosphere is laid back and not too noisy, and the Black&Blue burger was one of the best I've had in a long time. I will definitely be returning.

this place is popular for me and my children a long time. always a positive atmosphere for everyone. only a late lunch early dinner Saturday with mine.
