So on todays travels we ended up in the ode Horse in Shepshed. Arrived around 11.30 ish and the place was empty. Got shown to our table and went with a pint of pepsi max as the preferred tipple today. We then decided on the 2 courses and i went with bubble and squeak for my starter and with it being sunday i opted for the duo of beef! They were both crackers, the bubble and squeak came with hp sauce and it def gave it that bit extra taste. The duo of beef was lovely came with a brisket and also yorky pud, roasties, veg and the carrot was devine. It was a big long one cooked to perfection and tasted exquisite! Again the gravy made the dish very tasty it was a beautiful concoction so hats off...
What an amazing venue located in Shepshed. Amazing food, attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere with the added bonus of accommodation on-site. Well done to Lee and all the staff for another great night. Strongly recommend the garlic mushrooms, dirty steak and the cheesecake. It’s a shame I’ve got to travel 40mins to get here but any excuse to stop out in your great rooms thanks Dale
We had a late lunch here with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the meals. Friendly staff, hot plates and delicious fish and chips as well as the sticky toffee pudding. No gluten free menu however the actual selection of available gluten free meals was good but you need ask the staff for availability on the day.
Had a lovely meal yesterday at the Horse Shepshed . Mushrooms for starter amazing , mains were blade of beef , fish and chips. Again both well cooked , hot and delicious . Service great too ! Another fab meal at The Horse !

Lovely atmosphere with top notch grub! Service was good and All utensils and plates very clean thanks to a lovely chap chap in the back. Would Definitely visit here again!!!
There is something special about this pub and I don't know if it is the friendly welcome from the staff and regulars, the food or just the general ambience. We loved it.
Lovely venue, food fabulous, staff helpful and a decent sized carpark, what more do you need, would recommend this place.
