I visited The Ice Arena today for the first time since the new owners took over, and unfortunately, it’s clear the place was much better managed under the previous ownership. I’d deduct a star for every issue I encountered during my visit. There were far too many young children on the main ice rink who clearly shouldn’t have been there. The old rule was that only competent skaters were allowed on the big rink. These little kids were struggling to skate and should have stayed on the smaller rink. Worse, they were darting in front of other skaters, including myself, and skating the wrong way, causing people to trip and fall or collide with the kids. The staff did nothing to address this.
