In the Palatinate a lot has been done in recent years. But the “The Izakaya” is already a surprise, because so hip, so trendy, so cool you would expect something more in a big city than here. The concept works excellent. Excellent food with a certain extra, a fairly calculated wine card with exciting wines, both tradition and newbies, a relaxed atmosphere, a super friendly and cool service – what do you want more?

Izakaya's kitchen is fun. Until the main course, the stylistic differences are marginal to the intense ones for me. Perhaps some dishes are a trace more complex, but this is already in details that do not play the decisive role for a pleasant culinary evening.
