This restaurant is an absolute gem. Decided to have lunch after a visit to Warkworth Castle. This restaurant is a family run establishment serving good quality food. I can thoroughly recommend the pickled herring starter and the lemon sole fillet served with mini roast potatoes and vegetables. My wife had a bowl of lovely soup and the vegetarian dish of the day. This was followed by Meringue with cream and a raspberry purée whilst I ended the meal with Coconut and Passion Fruit Panna Cotta. We would certainly return if we holiday in the surrounding area again.

The place is located in a lovely village with several really nice shops, restaurants and pubs. But this is not one of them. The décor is very dated but clean. The Sunday lunch was the worst I've ever eaten, meat overcooked, vegetables were like mush. But worst of all was the mashed potatoes were like Smash!!
