So last night was my decade anniversary and wanted to take my wife to a jazz oriented restaurant in Cola. The Joint at 1710 Main was my target. Rave reviews... can 't go wrong! Two phone calls during the day... no answer no problem. All websites indicated the restaurant opened at 5p, so I surprised my bride (a faculty member at the USC College of Nursing) with a pickup and drive to, what she thought was going to be M Vista, then BAM!! I escort her, arm in arm (husband of the century) to The Joint only for the doors to be locked still at 5:30p. Two more phone calls... no answer now a problem.Guess where the, now dudband of the year to his bride? M Vista.Sorry update whatever you need to so pot...

Went here to celebrate my husbands 20 years in the navy and was glad we did. The music and atmosphere was really nice. We didnt try the food but the drinks were good. The only reason I couldnt give them a 5 is because the music was sooooo loud. We thought it was just us but even the muscian kept asking them to turn the music down bc their ears were ringing. I honestly think the guy working has some difficulty telling volume levels because when the music was at a good level he would go and turn it back up again. So great place, would probably keep more people in it if the music volume wasnt deafening.

We came the last hr of brunch and the vibe was nice. The DJ was playing good music and some ppl were doing karaoke. I tried the shrimp and grits, it was ok. I prefer my shrimp and grits a tad bit more creamy and with less. I believe they had green bell peppers. I did not enjoy their mimosas but my homegirls did so this could be a me thing. The waiter was awesome. Very attentive I'll give him a 10 out of 10. Overall, for Saturday afternoon if you want to hear some good music. Get you a drink and a bite to eat. This is a perfect spot.

Looking for Live Music, this is your spot downtown. Heard the Jazz from outside and had to go in, so glad we did! Small space but Great talent playing, with the Mark Rapp Band (minus Mark Rapp! . Fun night!
