I love coming here on a sunny day to sit outside with a drink. The restaurant has a rustic and cozy atmosphere, especially when the fires are lit during Christmas when the trees and lights make it feel even more festive. I usually order a latte and sometimes indulge in a little chocolate. If you're looking for a pub with rustic charm and a beautiful view, this is the place to go.
A Takeaway menu is available. We stopped here while doing a walk and shared a fish butty and chips WOW. Absolutely amazing. Fresh fried fish and a super soft barm. What I think were triple cooked chips.....awesome. some tartar sauce.....delicious. Very friendly and welcoming. There was a steady flow of people of which some sat in their cars eating while looking over the common.
This is a lovely traditional pub located in a stunning location. The views outside are amazing. The service was quick and the two staff members we interacted with were friendly and polite. Our drinks were excellent. It was a very hot day, so we sat outside in the shade of a large tree. We had a great time and look forward to returning.

Lovely pub. Indoors is traditional (small and quirky rooms) but great outdoor space with great service (we didn't have to wait to order drinks we got asked frequently).Menu is limited but the food is good (although nothing special).Lots of places to sit outside now they have benches on the common
Fab service, great atmosphere beautiful old decor stunning location. w friendly pubs. unfortunately, when we were there temporarily closed kitchen. Maybe they are ringing to check the work, but definitely worth a visit. gastfreundschaft sector is trying hard to manage in these days.
Really nice pub great beer called in for some food but unfortunately no chef not even sandwiches even if they were brought in and has been like it for some time now.
