On holiday and decided to eat out at the kings arms as recommended by our hosts. Didn’t have signal so contacted them through messenger and Faye (landlady) rang the pub for us and booked us in, even though they were busy and pretty much booked up. And on a Wednesday evening. The pub itself is brilliant, a proper English pub which is warm, friendly full of locals and a fantastic feel to it. The food was superb too. Best burger I’ve ever had!! (The kings dick). We had 2 children with us and although they didn’t have a children’s menu they sorted us out with the option of smaller child portions. Will definitely be coming again when we’re back in the area. I never write reviews but because it wa...

What a fantastic find! A friendly pub with a fantastic chef. I ordered John Dory, served with a lemon butter with toasted, flaked almonds. Superb! A similar meal at our local fish restaurant in Bournemouth would have been twice the price. My friend ordered a chicken burger, served with gorgeous hot chunky chips and a creamy coleslaw. She said it was fab! We called to move our table forward half an hour as we were super hungry lol) and this was no issue. Lovely staff, brilliant service, hot, delicious food. Highly recommended! Do book ahead of your stay... it is very popular but they have good table spacing so it didn't feel cramped. A country cottage feel, with a great menu, and a chef that...

I visited this restaurant over the weekend on Saturday evening (bank holiday weekend). The food was fantastic and all the staff were very friendly and efficient. I ordered the fish of the day which was monkfish and it was one of the best dishes I have ever had. The fish and chips, burgers, and mac and cheese were also very good. The beer and gin were delicious, the sun was shining, the kids were happy, the adults were happy... The only issue is that we live four hours away so unfortunately, we won't be able to come back for a while!

We chose The King’s Arms having read the reviews in the cottage information. We were not disappointed . The pub had a lively feel to it but also welcoming to visitors. The service was quick but we were not rushed. The liver and bacon was a generous plate full, on warm plates (that’s good) and the fish of the day was well presented. The menu is a cut above standard pub food and two courses and drinks came to £50 which these days is good. In summary a great evening
