My wife and I had a fantastic dinner in the kitchen. I loved the thought that went into the options on the menu; and the execution of the dishes was top notch. In addition, Sarah Daisy gave us a nice personal table service that matched the quality of the food. When we stayed overnight, the next morning we had a breakfast that was not disappointed. A wide selection of options on the cold buffet and the same with the menu where you can order certain dishes. Overall, really happy and would highly recommend. Can't wait to come back and see what options are on the menu when we come back.
Food was of a very high standard and fairly priced. Service was as we like it there when needed but not too pushy. The modern style was very calming and pleasing. The only small negative was the inability or lack of will to adapt a course to allow for a shellfish allergy. A mussel sauce could surely have easily been replaced with an alternative. This did not detract though from a very enjoyable evening and we will be back!
The flavours and quality of the food were very nice but served lukewarm. If anyone had asked at the time we would have said. The hake was a rather small portion. The Irish coffee was delicious. The custard too wasn't hot enough but acceptable on a hot crumble. I do wish that they would serve a decent size glass of wine. We love coming here to the bar for their day time food but won't return to the restaurant.
The leisurely pace of the restaurant was a nice change of pace for me. The food was fantastic and had a unique and delicious flavor. The burger, while initially seeming expensive, was actually huge and incredibly tasty. It's not just about quantity here, the quality of the food is also top-notch.
