We stopped at this restaurant on our way home from Sheffield Park for lunch because our usual stop, the Bull at Newick, was closed for renovations. We will definitely be coming back here next time because it was a lovely experience. The restaurant has a nice size car park and we were greeted with a friendly welcome from the staff as soon as we walked in. The decor of the pub is my kind of style - muted colors, wooden tables, tasteful decor, and lots of clocks and an amazing Bar Billiards Table. The staff at the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly, making it a lot of fun to chat with them. The food was delicious, though the portion sizes were a bit too big for my liking. I ordered the fish and chips and it was amazing. I appreciated that the menu wasn't overwhelming, as it made it easier to choose what to order. I also had the opportunity to participate in their Wednesday wing contest for a chance to win a cash prize. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and look forward to returning with friends.
