Being our local pub we decided to have our anniversary lunch here. The pub has recently undergone a menu change and become a lot less formal in its dining area. I have to say these are great changes ! Right, on to the food. Our starters of Belly Pork and Meatballs were both generous and very flavoursome ! For our main course we opted for the Flintstones Feast With 24oz Fore Rib Flintstone Steak, Hand Cut Chips, Smoked Bone Marrow Gravy, Beer Battered Onion Rings Mac n' Cheese ordered the steak rare and WOW it was cooked to perfection. We walked up the road to Straps restaurant after not dining there for a while, and we were pleased to see they had changed their operation. The place looked as nice as usual, and the young lady who served us was excellent at her job and a delight to interact with. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and time. Thank you to the staff at Straps. We started with small bowls, I had squid and my wife had fish cakes. For our main courses, my wife had the best ribs she's ever had and I had the Woburn ham with eggs and chips. Everything was cooked beautifully and presented well. We were too full for dessert!

I have been here twice this month and on both occasions the food has been amazing. The main meals were generous and full of flavour and the charceuteri share board had some gorgeous cured meats and cheeses. Staff really friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit

Had a lovely lunch with my friend today. She had Caesar Salad, I had salad nicoise. Lovely fresh ingredients, generous portions and delicious. Only down side was too full to order a dessert!
The staff were very helpful , however we were never asked if we wanted a pudding so we had one at home! They say the state of the loo’s tell you about the restaurant…….. I say no more!
