The food was great, but considering the price and service level, I don’t feel it was a good overall experience. The pub is lovely, well decorated and the tables haven’t been set too close to each other. Unfortunately though, it took us a long time to place our drinks order and the bartender seemed inexperienced and it took a great deal of time for our drinks to be ready (coke and pimms, nothing complex turned out the pimms was just pimms and lemonade). The food came relatively quickly and was well presented and tasty. After finishing our meal it took around 30 minutes for our plates to be cleared at which point we decided to pay and take our chances elsewhere for a dessert. The bill then too...
We found the menus at this restaurant to be confusing. There was a two-course fixed price menu and an a la carte menu, with items that did not overlap between the two. It was strange that we couldn't mix and match between the two menus, especially since all items should have been available. The food was good, well-prepared, and the service was attentive. The only downside was the background music in the bar area, which we found unnecessary. We asked for the music to be turned off but were told it could only be turned down. Overall, it would have been a more enjoyable dining experience without the distracting music.
First time eating here and will make sure I return. It was really quiet I thought for a Thursday, only 3 tables in. The food was very good, I had lamb and my partner had a steak, which he said was cooked perfectly. The decor is really clean, and modern, I love the sink in the ladies loo. My only slight moan is I like my dinner on a plate and it came in a bowl, it's really hard to balance your cutlery on a bowl. Staff were friendly too.
Professional friendly customer service from the staff. Very nice relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant which was perfect for our occasion. Food was good quality for the price overall but the mixed grill could have been better cuts of meat and bigger portions for the cost. Overall, a lovely pub with a room for everyone and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Although the pub was very quiet on the night my friend and I were there the food and service was excellent,the young girl who attended to us was polite and friendly, the fish and chips we had were absolutely delicious, my husband and I booked here last time we came down from Liverpool , this would be our regular eating place if we lived down here,
We meet with friends from Bristol as it is halfway, and we always have a good time with excellent service and excellent food.They always comment on how comfortable the place is and would not go anywhere else. Always confident to recommend to friends.Well done to all the staff.
