Quite simply the best Indian meal we’ve had in years. Staff at The Lion are a delight, bright, cheerful and enthusiastic. Everything from the poppadoms and chutneys, the chicken, beef, lamb curries, prawn puri starters through to the vegetable Bhuna are always outstanding. We are...in Covid times, and the effort all the staff go to to ensure you feel safe is remarkable. Make no mistake the chefs in the kitchen serve up a fantastic meal, stunning from start to finish and great value for money too. in a hut on the road that had never visited the opposite, we decided to take a break from cooking and have a takeaway from bharat. it turned out to be the right choice, as the whole food was excellent. we probably override,...but all we tried was excellent the lamm biryani, saag distributor (actually good one has to try), monkfish tikka, a few curries and naan brote; really could not fail. only one star knocked off because a few items lacked/unreal — but it was a very big order! definitely recommend.
We were so excited to have a takeaway from The Lion we have missed it so much during lockdown! The food was amazing (as it always is) and the set up for collecting takeaways is fantastic. The team have made sure every safety precaution...is in place. Our food was gorgeous and we’re so pleased we can get a takeaway from our favourite restaurant again. Amazing Indian, food is always served with amazing presentation, flavour is out of this world. The atmosphere created there by Raj and his team makes you feel so special. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions we cannot visit the restaurant, but thank goodness The Lion offer...the same 5* food through the takeaway service. See you soon

The food at the Lion Inn is excellent. It's very delicious and absolutely mouth-watering and the Lion Inn is a great find! My personal favourites are Monkfish Tikka as a starter and their signature Lamb Tawa with Naan Bread are second to none. And the...service is very friendly. Highly recommended!
Booked a table with space for a pram. We turned up on time and were put in a side room; I don’t think the person taking the booking had read the request. Waited for 20 minutes without any visit from staff to give us menus...or take a drinks order. Walked out and won’t be going back.
I'm really sorry to say, but the disappointment we had recently was not as it was a few months ago. the curries lacked deep and everything they could taste was hot seasoned. nannn brot was not so soft and pretty...the popadoms were however fresh. I hope it was just a swallow.
I’ve been going to this Indian restaurant for the last 2-3 years.... never disappointed, I’ve tried most locally and this is certainly the best. I would encourage anyone looking for great quality food, prepared and cooked with care to go and see Raj!!! FANTASTIC!!!
