I was out with a client who is neurodiverse and utilizes a wheelchair for mobility. The wait staff who seated us asked if we wanted a table or booth, we said either was fine, she sat us at a booth with my client being at the end of the table. A second wait staff then came over and, very loudly, informed us this was a fire violation, they could be shut down if an inspector came and said we could stay where we were, but for us to know next time. First, don't address this so loud that all other patrons can hear (not at all dignified for your patrons affected) not our job to know expectations of the facility, maybe all employees should be made aware of codes so this doesn't happen in the future....

The restaurant interior is very dated and tired, and the bathrooms are getting dingy and worn. Our server was great; she was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I got scallops, which were absolutely flavorless, no sear on the outside, plopped in a bowl with a watery, unidentifiable liquid, no garnish, nothing appealing about the dish whatsoever. Came with an old, barely warm potato. Friend got a fried seafood platter which was all one-note, everything tasted the like the same grease, with a tiny bowl of overcooked vegetables. This isn't the first bad meal I've gotten there, but it will be the last.

We went here for a treat because my husband remembered how good the food used to be. Horrible... the coconut shrimp and rolls were over cooked. Not sure what the sauce for the shrimp was supposed to be... it was awful. The French onion soup was so salty it was barely edible. The lobster was rubbery and cold. The waiter was friendly but he forgot part of our order. He realized he forgot it but still did not bring it. We would've asked but by that time we just wanted to go home after a long day. I would give zero stars for the food if I could. Never again.

Met some folks at The Lobster House for a celebration of life for a friend. The menu is pretty diverse. I ordered a barbecue brisket sandwich that was pretty good. I 'm thinking that seafood is what The Lobster House is known for, so next time I 'm looking for seafood, I 'll return to this Norwood landmark especially since most of the area 's Red Lobster restaurants have been closed. I swear, it's like a better-tasting Red Lobster. By far my favorite place for New England clam chowder. Tons of seafood options. Staff have always been wonderful. Great for dining in or take out. Decor is a bit dated, but that's really the only thing I couldn't give a 5 for. But frankly I'm not there for the decor. So much delicious food! Definitely get their biscuits. YUM!!

First time dining here. We were there to celebrate my Aunt's 90th birthday. The food was amazing and they were able to accommodate found allergies as well as food restricted diets. The wait staff was friendly, courteous and on point. They made a memorable evening for us all I wish we weren't 1 1/2 hours away and we would frequent The Lobster House more often.

Portions are often too large, but if you plan right, then you have leftovers for lunch the next day.
