The Local Eatery and Pub offers a comfortable ambience and an excellent culinary experience. Good quality wines, innovative cocktails and a rotating list of more than a dozen craft beers will most satisfy. But food has consistently exceeded our expectations and we have never experienced bad service. On Sunday, 11/26/17, I started with a cup of beef vegetable soup. The meat and vegetables were pretty good, but the broth was incredible! More like a very thin Beef Gravy, to say it was rich and satisfying is a rough abortion. I hadn't been to this restaurant in a while, and I recently returned. Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. It wasn't terrible, just disappointing. Paying $9 for six tiny jalapeño poppers (which amounted to just three jalapeños) was somewhat laughable. The rest of the food was quite bland, with no salt on the fries or any of the other dishes. While I understand the need to cut back on salt, the food really needs some seasoning. The staff seemed understaffed and unhappy as well. I'm hoping this place isn't losing the charm that made us love it so much in the past. I trust that management will take this feedback into account, and we'll consider giving it another shot in the future!
Have given this place several opportunities as we want so bad for it good since it’s so close to our house and not a ton of other similar options nearby. The vibe is great, so much potential, but the experience seems to get worse every time. Bartenders who seem like they hate their jobs and your inconveniencing them by ordering drinks, mediocre food, and laughable hours. Want to get dinner at 7:45 on a Thursday night? Try again. Literally were told the kitchen was closed even though they advertise 8:00, and 9:00 on Friday/Saturday. Want to catch the Monday night football game at the bar? You’ll be lucky to catch the kickoff before they lock the doors.

Excellent food...big service much fun! Market positions are a must. Children's dishes are generous in portions. The Kung Pao Fried Hen with house made Kim Chi was amazing. Rachael had the catfish nuggets. They were huge and very good and fresh.
It used to be fantastic. I visited today for the first time in several years and was disappointed. There were limited options, the food was bland, and the service was incredibly slow.
