5 star rating for this last minute find. In search for a no frills dinner we decided to check out 'The Local Hotel'.... For the first time ever my partner actually received what he had ordered = a perfectly cooked medium rare steak! We even overheard a woman at an opposing table mention that her steak was cooked to perfection. The food, atmosphere and tunes were all on point. Exuding the the typical South Freo's chill vibe. We've found a great place for a catch up with friends, couples or the family! Looking forward to our next visit.
We had one of the best meals ever at the Local Hotel South Freo last Saturday. Not just best pub meal, best meal period (roast lamb for 2). Just awesome food. The service was great as were the staff. The hotel is really cool and quirky and a great place for people watching. Can't fault it. I

A very relaxing and comfortable pub. This place just screams good friends and good times. Great selection of beer and very friendly staff... I really like the Sunday brunch and rotation of food vendors that set up in the garage.
Wow! Was heading to another place and stopped in here instead-SO GLAD WE DID! Dont be fooled by the minimalist menu as the food is by far superior to most
Good pub. Good vibe. Standard pub food done well. Decent beers on tap, could have a few more interesting beers on offer. Big space and great for groups.

The Local Hotel looks great after its remodel, the beer is good, but I wasn't that impressed with the food.
The Local Hotel has blossomed beautifully from what was once the dinghy "old man's pub", The Seaview Hotel.
