The Local Press is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Tape the menu to your wall, throw on a blindfold, and throw a dart at it. Whatever item it lands on is guaranteed to satisfy. Everything they offer is seriously that good. I have yet to see a restaurant with quality this consistent across the board. If you're looking for the best of the best, though, the burgers and wings are fantastic. The interior's got a cozy, lowkey aesthetic with equally friendly staff. Outdoor seating is also available, and there's Wi-Fi if you need it. Great food, great service, and both are very reasonably priced. Need I say more? Places outside of Manhattan tend to fall under the radar, but you are doing yours...
I ordered several occasions from the local press and the food was always excellent. This place is a small jewel in the ozone park. Last night I had the shrimp basket with cheeseries. The shrimps were large and extremely fresh and were fried for perfection. The dough was delicious and crispy. The fries were some of the best I ever had. Also had the homemade lemonade that came in sippy style packages that I thought was original. The claw that came with the shrimp basket was fresh and tasty and the various sauces were also excellent. The restaurant has a young atmosphere and was very welcoming. Other things I tried are the fish tacos and burgers. So good!
Wow, what a find! I can't believe I lived here for over a year and didn't try this joint sooner. Today, we got the fish and chips and fish tacos. Both were outstanding. The fish was the best that I've had in a long time. And they use a good sized piece of cod in the tacos, which is a super refreshing change from most places. I am not a fan of the mushy textured fish nor the small pieces which most other restaurants use. The fries were also delish. A few weeks ago, tried the veggie burger and truffle fries and both were divine. Keep up the fantastic work!
I usually order it, but my friend and I decided to dive on Friday night. It is a great atmosphere to love the art on the walls and the food was amazing. It was pretty busy and there was only one waiter, but he made sure to take care of us, he was a treasure, I wished his name lol. I tried the fried chicken sandwich, and it's the best I ever had when I cried to the chef, better than any fast food spot. I'm definitely back. Food 10/10, service 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. I will tell all my friends and family about the local press, wish you all the best!

I have ordered takeout from the local press several times and the food has always been outstanding. This place is a hidden gem in ozone park. Last night, I tried the shrimp basket with cheese fries. The shrimp were large and incredibly fresh, fried to perfection with a tasty, crunchy batter. The french fries were some of the best I've ever had. I also tried the homemade lemonade, which came in unique sippy style packets. Overall, a great experience.
The food at this restaurant was outstanding. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries. I had the most delicious quesadillas I have ever tasted. The chicken wings were amazing; our 5-year-old even took the last two off my husband's plate. We are only in NY for a few days but we are considering returning. We have already recommended this place to our local friends.
