Food and drinks were lovely, but the service was a major let down. No one was at front of house when we arrived and had to find someone to let them know we were waiting. Staff forget to provide cutlery for different dishes, rarely checked on us and avoided eye contact a lot. Very little communication and we went at 3PM so not a busy time and we stayed till 7PM.
We visited as a couple on Tuesday evening, having wanted to try this popular central restaurant for quite some time. The prices for the two or three-course menu were quite reasonable, and the food was traditional, delicious, and hearty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that the service was a bit slow, but we will likely return.
Absolute quality place. I organised the Christmas party for here. Really good menu, very good price. And they laid out all the stops, decorated table, crackers and things. Only think I could say is there was about 30 of us and only 2 people behind the bar, so was a bit of a wait. But hoping to go back at Christmas again.
From the moment we arrived, we loved everything about the place. The staff, the food, the cocktails, and our room were all outstanding. We had a fantastic time, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff; we felt truly welcomed. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely book another weekend there very soon! Book a table now
The Sunday roast was very good when it arrived at the table, but it was served without any vegetables. I had to ask the waitress twice, and I ended up eating half my meal before the vegetables finally arrived, which was about ten minutes later. I was quite disappointed.
City centre, gourmet standard food, excellent bar (well stocked, well managed, and very tidy! and great service. But BOOK to ensure you get a table. The Loopy Shrew is busy at the weekend and is generally fully booked all through the peak times in the summer.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, attractive surroundings and a full vegetarian/vegan menu. Prices are reasonable for such a lovely place. I had spicy lentil and spinach burger with skinny fries , it was huge! Then vegan cheesecake, really nice.
Lovely pub in Shrewsbury. Rooms are great. Big bath and shower. Bed comfortable. Some strange sounding items on the menu but delicious. A real happening place. Ella waitress is lovely and very helpful Book a table now
I had a brunch at the Loopy Shrew in their secret garden out back. The location was great, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend it!
