So, I've been coming here for over ten years and to be honest ten years ago this place would have gotten flat out Five Stars! And we visited no less than once a week. This place was our go to and we miss it for what it was. Somewhere along the line they messed up the formula. First and foremost with the staff. In the beginning they had the best and most consistent staff in the Hampton's. They knew you when you walked in and knew what you wanted a how you wanted it. If I could give zero stars I would. The service was very unfortunate and disappointing. Our waitor hushed us a number of times when we had questions, was very demanding of us as patrons and all around plain rude. Who knew asking for water was such a production? What we thought would be a cozy, homey, comfortable experience on a rainy day in the off-season turned into an uncomfortable, slightly stressful and regrettable experience. At one point, we literally felt bad ordering anything with the fear of an eye roll which should never be the case at a restaurant. We will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone. Wonderful restaurant and so pleased they are open again this season. The service is terrific. The menu is new and the food was delicious. The dining room is charming and you can actually carry on a conversation. Loved it and will be back.
