It quickly became evident why they wanted us out. We sat there, empty-handed, idly waiting for the next fifteen minutes. I overheard the staff—young women in their twenties—discussing how eager they were to close up and head out for their own night out. They even talked about the two of us still in the pub as if we were an inconvenience to their plans, with one saying, “Forget them.” Around 11:10, the bar manager approached us and asked us to leave. I rarely write negative reviews, but I was truly disappointed! They stopped serving food at 2:30 PM, and even though it was just a few minutes past that time, there was no flexibility at all. Instead, they suggested we try the cafes up the street. We won't be returning; this was our first visit back from America after 15 years, and it seems that some things haven’t stood the test of time. It might be time for new management.
