The Manchester Arms

This is an amazing hidden gem. It's in on old house from built in the 1950s in a residential area. Here are some tips when eating here: (1) order anything they smoked (chicken wings, pork), (2) they make their own Reuben and the Reuben sandwich is phenominal (my wife ordered it and it was my favorite item at dinner), (3) ask the server about the history of the house...it has a interesting mystery but I won't spoil the surprise. I ordered the fish (cod) and chips which seemed very authentic to this American (who has traveled in England). Fries were a bit moist and flimsy in texture and soak up that malt vinegar nicely. Great food and atmosphere. Service was always great for us. We'll be there about 8 times a year and we should do more. Real shepherd cake. Your homemade chips and dip are great. The pork chop dinner is the best. My wife and I love it.

Great atmosphere and 10 minutes from the airport in traffic. Architecture of the place is also really interesting when you are in this kind of thing. Not your standard box of a pub
