I reviewed the Manor Cafe (now Bistro) a few years ago and it really hasn't changed all that much. The food is still generally very good, although the menu focuses a bit heavily on overpriced smalls. Two things that bother me: The blackboard with the 'specials' and no prices. Why not just remove the prices from the menu as well? I really don't think I should have to ask, "and how much is that minimally described salmon special?" The service is usually of the take your order and deliver your food variety. I was here for dinner with my girlfriend. We had a gift card given to us. I location is very nice, and the restaurant itself is located in a converted old house. The entire place maybe seated 20-30 people. The food we received was good. I had the duck, and my girlfriend had a spiced curry dish. Both were a little skimpy on the meat. The portion size for hers was appropriate, and mine was a touch on the small side. The food was nothing special, but it was good. Last Saturday my wife and I dined at the Manor Cafe which is just off 124th street in a cozy part of Edmonton. Parking is good considering the location. We had a table beside a window which was pleasant. The service was very good. The wine selection is good for a small cafe with good value as well - they had several popular varieties not found at higher end restaurants in Edmonton such as Gamay and Viognier wines. We enjoyed our meals which were just fine and had no complaints about the size of the serving which was more than we could eat. There's a large selection of appetizers and three salad selections. We were walking around 124 street on a bright Saturday afternoon, we literally stumbled across this restaurant, and we have been driving by this area to and from work for 20 years!We had a fantastic lunch, the schnitzel sandwich was the best sandwich my wife has ever had. We shared the sandwich and the soup, and a few cold drinks.The atmosphere is great, sunny and shade on the patio, very relaxing. The inside has several small rooms, which would be great for intimate gatherings. We will be back!

We enjoyed a delightful lunch in a lovely atmosphere at the Manor. It’s sad to learn about its closing. We've celebrated many significant moments there, from my mom's 60th birthday to my stepdad's memorial. We wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors.
You're closing down, so there's no use in writing a lengthy review. This place will be missed by many, but as long as the staff finds new opportunities, that's what matters. Wishing you all the best.
We had a delightful family dinner at The Manor. It's disheartening to learn that it is closing, and we're sad that we won't have the chance to enjoy another meal there in the future.
