We stopped by for a late lunch after a walk and were pleasantly surprised by the recent refurbishment. The restaurant has retained its original charm but the decor is now brighter and the space seems slightly larger. We opted for the roast of the day sandwich with chips for an additional £2.00. The service was polite and attentive when our food arrived, and we were pleased to find that the chips were homemade rather than frozen. My partner ordered a burger, which came with two thick homemade patties and was quite generous in size. My sandwich was filled with tender beef and came with a small jug of gravy on the side. Booked a table for Sunday lunch and it didn’t disappoint. Great attentive staff , shame there were some unruly dogs in the pub albeit temporarily , but it’s not what you want to hear when you are out for a meal. Nothing against taking your dog to pub, but they need to be under control. Food arrived and was plentiful, meat cooked nicely and plenty of vegetables , which were fresh most are not . Homemade yorkshires and an extra gravy jug! Was really nice and tasty and we would recommend , the 1 star deducted as one of my husband’s roast potatoes was cold, and the noise from the dogs at the start. Will definitely be back though . Well done The Marsh
We visited this restaurant one afternoon. We received a friendly welcome and placed our orders at the bar. We shared an order of salt and pepper wings, which were simply deep-fried wings with seasoned salt. There was no chopped chili, onions, or peppers on top, and the dipping sauce was BBQ, which we found a bit unusual. Our bill for two main courses and two shandys came to over £40, which we felt was too expensive for a meal that could have been enjoyed at Wetherspoons for half the price. Overall, we were not impressed and did not feel inspired to return.

Came here to watch England beat Wales in the World Cup. Really nice and friendly atmosphere with some great screens for watching the match. Even gave out complimentary pie and peas at half time which was delicious. Will defo be returning!
We had a family meal of 7 at this restaurant and were warmly welcomed from start to finish. The meat was exceptional and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. If you haven't discovered this pub yet, I highly recommend that you do.
