New update Great place to stop off for a coffee/tea and something to eat with friends. Had breakfast toda with a friend, great breakfast choices including Vegetarian options. When it's sunny you can sit outside in their seating area, as it was raining we ended up in their upstairs area. Definitely need to consider booking if you want to grantee a table.we were lucky. Previous visit Enjoyed a pleasant Friday evening here with friends. Tried out some cocktails Which were great and very good value. Also had a very nice bottle of red wine I would certainly recommend someone of the sharing platter's, we had a chessboard and the small olives platter. Just like to praise the staff at the Minstrel this morning for their superb customer service and attentiveness towards our party. We all enjoyed a fantastic breakfast which consisted of, Bacon, Sausages, eggs, beans, black pudding, mushrooms and a choice of brown or white toast. The restaurant was clean, tidy and well presented, the staff were polite and the food was excellent. I’d totally recommend this family ran restaurant.
Six cyclists in our group stopped for a lunch break after a decent ride. We were made to feel very welcome, and were served with our variety of choices. Lovely food, had a good, unhurried rest, and it set us up for the ride home. Great place to stop.
Got together with some friends at the Minstrel this morning and had the best breakfast I have had out in years. Good sausage and black pudding especially, and a lovely ambience. The service was first class and can't reccommend a visit highly enough.
