Popped in here today on a walk with my friend. Hostess came to us straight away, cleaned our table, changed seats to padded more comfortable ones etc. Ordered a drink each and a sandwich and a jacket potato. My friend must have told Kate the hostess that it was my birthday cos my jacket potato came with a lighted candle on it! Great banter even while she was rushing serving people etc. Food was great too. I asked if I could take a cutting from their red geranium outside. Cheeky but if you don’t ask etc! We wanted to find a pub to have Sunday lunch near our sons house. Looking at the good reviews we decided to try out The Mobey Dick and we were not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially Sherry behind the bar. I am gluten free and vegan so finding a good roast dinner can be difficult but the nut roast was lovely. The portion sizes were great and my husband said it was one of the best pub roasts he had eaten. The location was good too, watching the canoes and small sailing boats from the window felt like a holiday destination. We would definitely recommend this pub.
We had a wonderful experience at the Moby Dick pub this evening thanks to the extremely welcoming Katie. She was attentive, funny, and made us feel right at home. Our table had a lovely view of the quay and the food was both generous and delicious. The cod was especially tasty with its meaty texture and perfect batter. The atmosphere was great and we would highly recommend this pub to anyone, including families. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again. Thank you, Katie!

The Moby is a welcoming pub/restaurant with a wide variety of drinks including beer, spirits, cocktails, and coffee. The staff are professional and friendly, the toilets are clean and there is also a disabled toilet available. The outside seating area offers beautiful views of the Greenland docks water, especially enjoyable on sunny days. I highly recommend this pub.
We had booked a table for Sunday lunch while walking around the Greenland dock. We were very pleased with the cheery welcome and the service from all staff was very good as was the food and the beer. All the meals were tasty with generous portions wholesome pub food, A perfect place to enjoy a Sunday roast and not overpriced.
Dropped in for a quick drink after a boozy session at lunch , great views from the seating area inside. Staff attentive and helpful. Average beer nothing special which is a shame not to have a few more guest beers on.
Katie was absolutely delightful - the friendliest and most attentive staff member by far. I would love to return on the days she is working. I highly recommend this establishment.

Lovely home cooked Sunday Roast. We had lamb and beef and both were lovely, as was the veg, potatoes and gravy. Thank you once again.
