overall we had a really good experience here. we had a party of 16 and the service was excellent, especially for a fairly busy Saturday night. drinks were great and well made. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. but eating is what the score on what would have been 5 stars to a respectable 4. I had a prunktempura appetizer and a steak. the garnels were nothing special, but good. the steak was good, but had a few crispy things on it and I couldn't identify what they were. very small part of the chips(ries) came along. two in our party had the fish and the chips and were underwhelmed. both said the fish and the dough were tasteless. one consumed only about half and was frustrated onl...
our friend brought us to their nice restaurant yesterday to eat lunchtime. appendage the meal were absolutely delicious, dessert was to die and the service was impeccable. nathan was our waiter and I can't blame him. he was friendly and we had a laugh with him. If all the restaurants had a nathan, we would be happy. he was very interested in our enkelin, whose 9 football games, only girls in a team of 11boys. please thank him for his fabulous service.
have recently been sitting there. on Sunday I had the Rindsirloin roast. I haven't had such good since my mother. the personal is very good. not complaining. as I said, ian on the day before, they have made an excellent work to make the montagu arms the best pub / restaurant for miles, in my view . well, that I did not just say but should have done it. watch young, well done.
This is a picturesque little pub, with great selection of real ales and beers. I had food her many times in the past and have always been left full and happy. The menu is changed recently and plenty of house special to keep menu fresh 10/10
