The restaurant was okay. The ambiance was average , there was only one or two people serving. We had ordered beef carpaccio n when it came there was good sprinkling of Parmesan cheese n rocket leaves but you literally had to search for the beef carpaccio. For mains we had ordered steak rare which came medium rare n the lamb shank was smothered in sauce. The fish n chicken were good. The creamed spinach was also good. Overall the food was value for money but nothing to rave about, a regular steak house for an evening out.
Whilst the restaurant itself is very nice and the surroundings generally speaking are of the upmost quality I am bound to say that I was not impressed with the fact that we were offered the least desirable table in the entire restaurant even though we had reserved a table. It goes without saying that some of the diners were walk ins. I believe if you book a table, you should be offered one away from door and the biting wind.
Food was good but the noise level was not to my liking. There were 2 birthday parties and quite a few kids and as I am a grumpy old man I did not enjoy the noise level. I also felt rushed as there were people obviously waiting for our table even though we were not late
The food was delicious, service excellent and a great atmosphere. Nothing could be faulted
