It was an average experience overall. The food was decent but nothing exceptional. We were in a hurry to leave for an appointment, so I paid at the bar to speed things up, which seemed to bother the wait staff. They forgot part of our order, but were apologetic and didn't charge us for it (although they ended up charging us in the end). It's not a place I would actively avoid, but not one I would go out of my way to recommend either. If you need a quick bite to eat, it's a decent choice.
The soup and bread were delicious, but the portions were small as they were served in a cup instead of a bowl. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. It was incredibly slow even though there were only a few customers in the restaurant. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food. The waitress seemed disinterested and didn't check on us to see if everything was okay, which is a basic requirement in the hospitality industry. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Such a great place. We stumbled upon it purely by accident whilst on a weekend away. In our group there were 6 adults, 4 kids, 2 babies and a dog. We were fully welcomed and looked after. The garden is amazing and has a pizza oven and BBQ, which we fully took advantage of. We really had such a good time, thank you. Apologies again for the tray of beer my friend managed to spill all over the bar floor
Driving through this Beautiful little Town and came across this little gem! Food was really good, both of us had the fish and chips, and enjoyed every last bit! Staff were really nice, along with the Butty Batch Premium Ale, and the pint of Inch's cider. Nothing to complain about, and look forward to our next visit!! Book a table now
