We are absolutely disgusted with the service, had read the good reviews so got there early and what I assume was the landlady gave a friendly welcome. We placed our food order and we commented that we had timed our arrival well since a large party then arrived along with other couples all ordering food, after a while the adjacent table to our was served with fish and chips we assumed we would be next despite other tables ordering after us being served, after virtually an hour waiting my wife went to the bar to enquire as to our food not arriving only to be told the printer had run out of paper and the order had not gone through but was offered to put it though again, bearing in mind we were...

Found this gem of a pub after a trip to Horsey Gap to see the seals. Arrived just after they opened for lunch. Very children and dog friendly . Fantastic choice on the menu, between us we chose, the ham egg and chips, hallumi burger, childs burger and nachos with chill. Served beautifully fresh and hot, the meals were huge! But we still managed to fit in a tasty dessert, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownies. They had a fabulous choice of ales and ciders. All in all a place that we will return to and will recommend to everyone

We always enjoy our vists to the Nelson Head while walking the coast from Winterton to Horsey. Always a fantastic selection of beers on tap and plenty of choice on the menu. Portions are more than ample, great for hungry hikers! Atmosphere and decor is traditional, no frills , good honest food and if its cold there is a lovely open fire. Staff are friendly and welcoming if you have two or four legs and its always popular.

The kitchen must have been woefully understaffed. We waited 1 hour 35 minutes for a weekday lunch, which is just unacceptable.
