Got to try this lovely cafe with the quirky name. Hearty and delicious breakfast. Even my teenage boy, who eats like a horse, could not finish his plate of smoke salmon, duck sausage, bacon, asparagus all on top of the fluffy egg omelette. My two poached eggs, with mustard hollandaise was too pretty to eat but oh so tasty. The latte was just strong enough with the aroma of the single origin it promised. Apparently the banana maple waffle, with a generous scoop of ice cream and toasted crumbed almonds, really did not need the extra side of bacon and tomatoes. This new kid on the block has a hipster fit out but its menu is a bit confusing - not sure whether it's supposed to be fusion cuisine or simply Asian style brunch dishes. When we ate here recently, the waiter was a very young man who was enthusiastic, but didn't seem to know much about the menu, and then got our order wrong. To be fair, it was rectified quickly by senior staff, but we were somewhat underwhelmed by the place. It was open on a public holiday which was good.
We had lunch at the Nude Duck, a small local restaurant in Carnegie. the menu is interesting; I had the smashed avocado/ green peas with grilled tomatoes, on toast with Goat cheese and my partner had the chilli scrambled eggs on toast. Both had delicious greens and interesting flavours, with a Thai character to the sauces. The coffee was hot and exactly as we asked for. A lovely meal on a grey day.
This little place is quaint and good spot for brunch! We don't normally fine around this area and we're looking for cafés around here and picked this one as it stood out with its rather interesting gastronomically inventive little menu. Food was beautifully presented and delicious too. I personally loved the Matcha Latté and Waffles with bacon! It's a little local gem.

My friend told me about this new place on the strip and I decided to try out its smashed avocado and lemon on toast. I was very impressed with the quality and the price. I found my coffee was great, too. It is a spacious shop, but the seats are a bit hard. I suppose that some of the duck dishes could be said to be French inspired.

Cute cafe on a busy shopping strip. Eager waiting staff. Interesting menu. Each dish had an interesting east west component. Had the chicken mambo salad. Nice passion fruit dressing. I found the serving to be too small to be filling.
