The Old Bakehouse - Table reservation

Now situated inside the lovely Gordon Arms Hotel which feels just like coming home. A coal fire and friendly chat and staff. The food is just as you come to expect from this Restsurant with A varied menu to suit all tastes. Prawn cocktail and lovely Pate to start followed by Steak Rossini and Ribeye steak. This is where it gets seriously good. These were cooked to perfection and not a scrap was left. We even were tempted by the dessert menu after a wee break. Every table was full and food was also being served in the bar. It just made for a great atmosphere for a night out. We had an absolutely delicious meal in this warm and welcoming dining room. I can't recall ever having a more tasty pie (game, port, and stilton). The staff were all very friendly. It is a popular place, so it's best to make a reservation in advance or you may not get a table. You would definitely regret missing out. The bar looked fantastic, but unfortunately, we didn't have time to stay. We will definitely plan to linger next time.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. I enjoyed a prawn cocktail, steak fajitas, and a strawberry meringue roulade, all of which were excellent. The main bar had a lively atmosphere, but for a more intimate dining experience, the separate dining room offered a nice contrast. The service was top-notch - friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this place.
