When on holiday in the area, we 've eaten at this restaurant (in its various guises and under various owners approx 20 times and have always had a very good meal. This was our first visit since 2019 and it was really excellent/as good as any we have ever had. We ordered 18 different sharing plates and every single one was excellent. The price is fair for the quality of the food. It 's a real family favourite. (Adding a couple of dairy free dessert options would be a welcome addition, if I had to identify one 'wrinkle '.
My sister and I had dinner at the Old Bakery yesterday evening and it was fantastic. I am a vegetarian and she is not, but we were able to share plenty of delicious dishes. The prices were reasonable and the service was good. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful, and we would definitely return. I especially loved the bean and beetroot salad.
Delicious food in lovely tucked away restaurant, with outside space for eating. Not for those in a hurry, but well worth waiting for.
Favourite restaurant in the South Hams. Has never disappointed, highly recommended
