beautiful place to eat. I was here yesterday. I had a hut cake with salat for £4.50 the salat was more than just a few salat leaves and a piece tomato. there were minty gurkens and lenses. it was really nice and there was a lot of it. the potato on the hut cake was really light and fluffy, but crispy up. the decoration is eccentric, with paintings of kühen and tablecloths, which are maps of the world written in a foreign language. it feels a bit like it's going back in time to fitzrovia before the chains are drawn in. they love the shady chic interior of this place, with plastic cloths on the tables covered by a map of earth and giving it a traditional caf vibe. if I hadn't taken care of zomato first, I probably wouldn't have been disturbed if I had noticed his annoyance. that said they did the most incredible cake and I am addicted to cash as no card machine.
The Old Dairy Cafe is a very quaint little lunch shop, with a small menu situated just behind the Euston Road. It's a little mini-world-of-its-own inside, and feels far removed from the general bustle of Fitzrovia that surround it.
