eating was good, but could be hotter. service was good, but there were loudspeakers everywhere and the music is too loud, it really pampered the ambiente. music should be back on the floor so that customers chat, the music was hard to talk. they had to ask them to turn it off.
We had a fabulous three-course meal at this pub. Food was delicious and menu varied. We were well attended without being intruded upon. We were very happy with the gin choices, choosing an incredibly refreshing ‘grapefruit’ gin. The whole place was clean and welcoming.
the old gate inn improves every time we visit. everything makes our food and drink pleasant there. for us the fact that they are also exceptionally dog friendly. we do not visit any pubs that do not allow dogs in the eating areas.
It's always a pleasure to dine in this restaurant which we have been doing now for a number of years. The atmosphere is always so friendly and warm, the service great and the food excellent. Can highly recommend! Book a table now
Great restaurant friendly staff as soon as I walked in and great friendly efficient service. Food was yummy and reasonably priced too. Will be going back again. Lovely place for a meal with family and friends
very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. eating arrived on time and hot. had steak that was cooked as I asked, but minimal garnish to accompany the steak.
The tub seats and very small table against the wall were very restrictive, especially as we had our well behaved dog with us. Not very comfortable. Excellent meal and service.
I had a hot sandwich that wasn't hot. instead of cooking it again, it was reheated in the microshaft so that it was soggy instead of roasted sandwich. Book a table now
