Unfortunately on this occasion our Sunday lunch was not up to expectation. We waited a very long time to receive our food. We were beginning to worry about our cars parked in the 2 hour stay car park and because of the delay all of us had to move our cars! No one had a starter and the main meals were ok, especially so the short rib. Unfortunately the fish and chips was not good. The deserts definitely let the Old Manor House down. They were not good quality, especially for the price being charged £7.50). The Brownies were very bitter, the ice cream was watery and had no taste. The crème brûlée had a strange consistency and the crumble which was apple, cider and ginger was so hard it was almo...

We visited during the week for dinner, and although we hadn't made a reservation, we were quickly seated at a lovely table in the restaurant. I skipped the starter, but my partner ordered the soup, which smelled wonderful and she thoroughly enjoyed. I chose the steak and stilton pie, and it was exquisite. My partner had the prawn pasta, which also looked delightful. We paired our meal with a bottle of merlot for myself and a sauvignon blanc for her. To finish, we shared a cheese board, and I had the port that accompanied it. Overall, it was a delightful meal in beautiful surroundings.

We booked 2 rooms here as we were going to the Christmas market with friends. When we arrived it was freezing outside and indoors, the heating wasn’t on,there wasn’t even a radiator in the bathroom, when my husband went to complain they said it was on the timer and they had just switched it in and it would take some time to heat up. We ate at the restaurant the food was nice but we had to get our coats to keep warm as it was still freezing in the restaurant. They were having Christmas parties so was also very noisy. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The Old Manor is an excellent little gem in Keynsham, honestly serving the best Sunday Roast around. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, food cooked to perfection and the short rib is to die for. Their menu caters for everyone and is updated regularly with seasonal produce, burgers are excellent and steak night, very well priced at £35 for two and a bottle of wine, but also your steak is always cooked to perfection with the best triple cooked chips I've ever had. Oh, and the garden is beautiful for a pint in the sun...! Book a table now

We visited the old Manor House this evening for steak night and we were not disappointed! Perfectly cooked delicious steak (which I enjoy rare) and the chips were divine crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. We arrived a little early and enjoyed a drink at the bar, chatting to the staff who are really lovely and attended to us perfectly before and throughout our meal. The fire was lit and the atmosphere was cosy and welcoming on a cold January evening I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back again!

Despite there only being four other occupied tables, the service was remarkably slow. It seemed like it was the waitress's first night, as she appeared to be quite inexperienced. It might be beneficial to provide staff training on the drinks menu, so they understand that there are at least two types of Sauvignon Blanc available and don’t have to keep returning to ask which one we prefer, or which lager we would like. The food was average by the time it finally arrived. I won't be coming back.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at this restaurant with family and friends. The hotel staff were attentive to all our needs. The meal was fantastic, the atmosphere was outstanding, and the cozy bar had a welcoming vibe. The function room had a wonderful ambiance as well. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we are very pleased we chose this venue. It truly made for a memorable day! – Carol John

Visited the old manor on Thurs 23rd march (steak night). We had 2 very nice rump steaks beautifully cooked (medium), chips and garnish were just as good. Deserts (sticky toffee pud apple and stem ginger crumble) were delightful, all in all good food and good value. Will be back Book a table now

Came for Sunday lunch with my 90 year old mum and it was perfect. Food was exceptional. Staff were excellent. Thanks for giving us the table we requested by the window. Definitely be returning.
