on the second day of the lake george we decided to go to the log inn restaurant. we saw it had good reviews. our family ordered a cheeseburger, reuben sandwichi, and finally a roast beef sandwichi. overall we thought that eating was solid good eating, not award-winning, but we all enjoyed our portions. on the cheeseburger there was a good mix of the right taste of the sauce and everything combined it made good I felt as if the meat was a little flat but tasteful. on the frying sandwich the bungalow was beautifully designed and well made. the reuben sandwich was rock solid. overall we had a good server and the restaurant seemed clean and was rustic. if we had lived in this opposite, we would...
Again we met with my much older sister. This time at The Olde Log Inn,a place we have always liked. My wife and I had a sandwich which came with a deli salad, today, macaroni salad. My wife wife seemed to like the Bird 's Nest ,a grilled chicken sandwich. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. My sandwich was neatly assembled. While the taste wasn 't bad,it didn 't really reach out. We both thought that the macaroni salad was very good. My sister had the French Onion soup which was hotter than the fires of Hades. She had a small garden salad with that. The total bill was $63 for 3 of us. The server was attentive at times.
airy cabin feel, large bar with adjacent tables chairs dining area. patio along front with picnic tables. place felt clean fresh, with a nod to Upstate ADK decor. Menu had good number of options but not overwhelming or extensive. Started with buffalo wings nicely cooked, crispy, delicious! well sauced, just enough heat. Stayed with salads ... Cobb salad with grilled chicken, Mixed greens blue cheese with sliced steak cooked to order. Both were super fresh balanced portions of salad veggie vs protein. Definitely recommended as a great burger beer tavern type stop.
Tonight my husband and I had dinner at Shaughnessy's and I must say ...the beet /salad was absolutely delicious! best beet salad I have had to date. the portion was huge .. my husband had the shrimp cocktail app great)! and the Shrimp Scampi which was a enormous size bowl with garlic crostini like bread and a beautiful garden salad... the staff were amazing.. highly recommend

Food was perfectly prepared. I had the Mediterranean chicken, my wife ordered the Sorrento chicken both full of flavor. We ended up taking half her meal home since the portion was so generous. Cannot recommend The Olde Log Inn enough, simply must try anytime you are near.
Great place a little out of the main area. Few minutes drive. Great food. Wonderful rustic atmosphere. Friendly staff that you can tell has been there for awhile. Locals place from what we observed. Inside and outside seating. Highly recommend!
The food at this restaurant is fantastic! It's a wonderful place to enjoy some delicious food and drinks.
