What an amazing gem! A very comfortable atmosphere, beautiful decor, amazing staff! We were greeted at the the door by Tim, an amazing connoisseur of life, seafood and adventures! We asked for suggestions on menu items, wonderful story for each menuitem. All the food we tried was amazing. Humble fresh ingredients elevated to amazing items. Delicious starter salad! Heirloomtomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, and basil. A lovely scented rich cup of shrimp bisque. Thick and velvety. You can taste thickrich bisque, slow cooked for days! Main entree delicious Oscar Salmon, lovely crispy skin salmon. Fresh asparagus with delicatehollandaise sauce, with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. My husband h...

In addition to the lobster roll, I also tried the lobster Mac and cheese, which was a cheesy explosion with chunks of lobster that were far superior to other places that serve smaller pieces. The New England Clam Chowder was also a standout dish, with big pieces of clams and an unmatched flavor. All of these dishes were prepared with love and care, and were not overly salty, giving them a clean and healthy taste. Tim, the owner, truly cares about his customers and the quality of food he serves. The hospitality at Island Shrimp House was exceptional, and I felt like I was part of the family from the moment I walked in. I commend Tim and his family for their outstanding business practices an...

The food and service at this restaurant are excellent! They offer high-quality seafood and fish, and the prime rib I had last night was the best I've ever had - so tender it practically melted in my mouth. We tried a bit of everything on the menu and loved it all - everything had great taste without being overly salty. They also have special evening dishes during the week, so there's no need to cook at home or go anywhere else. In my opinion, critics who complain about the prices here don't realize the value they're getting for the level of quality and care put into each ingredient. For example, you can buy a pound of jumbo shrimp, then prepare, fry, sauce, and clean them yourself for less t...

The service was amazing from the minute I walked thru the door, however, the food was even more awesome. The creme brulee for dessert, I would drive back everyday for. I tried the blackened Pollock sandwich (first time trying this type of fish), oh mygoodness the best, and the flavor..oh my goodness! Also, I'm not a huge tomato person but tried the heirloom tomatoes in theensalada caprese that was on the daily special menu, it was perfect!!! Oh yea, the waiter recommended the clam chowder for astarter but I didn't want to be to full, in order to enjoy everything, sooo, I got a bowl to go. It was great too! I wasreally impressed with everything. I can't wait to go back. Book a table now

I have been seeing this restaurant while driving towards Orland Park for the past 2 years and finally decided to try it. I was not disappointed at all. My friend and I ordered the homemade clam chowder and shrimp bisque with garlic bread and cornbread as starters, and they were both delicious. For the main course, we had 1/2 peel shrimp with Diablo sauce, lobster roll, and tavern style fish and chips, and everything was incredibly tasty and satisfying. I would give it a 10/10 rating!

Treated the family to three different dinners as a culinary journey at Oish. Our fried fish dinners were still hot when we got home. The fish and chips were served in a delicious batter, perfectly fried in large pieces on a bed of fries! The shrimp were also perfectly fried. The dinners were nicely packed in sturdy white containers, all items present, intact and hot! I will definitely come back for another tasty fish dish!

I first heard about this restaurant on Super Goode, where he tried the lobster roll and shrimp. My husband is a fan of fried oysters, so we ordered half a pound of those and three-quarters of a pound of shrimp. The breading on the seafood was light and crispy, making it delicious. I definitely want to return and try that lobster roll!

The chowder is excellent and served hot. I ordered the king crab, which was a generous portion. The smoked shrimp was also delicious, so I got a pound to take home.
