We were in search of a lunch spot when we stumbled upon Mel's Diner. It had been quite a while since my last visit, and I couldn't recall the food, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service, the generous portion sizes, and the deliciousness of the meals we ordered. The decor is charming, the place was clean, and it exudes a delightful sense of nostalgia. At the Diner booths, there are miniature jukeboxes where you can select a song for just a quarter. I highly recommend stopping by if you're after a classic Americana experience and comforting food. It's also very family-friendly!
I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The food was good. No complaints on the quality of the food or the service. Didn't have to wait long and it was busy for a Saturday late morning. Eggs and hash browns were cooked just right. It was just a little too bland for my taste. Would have been great with some fresh salsa but this is Mel's so that meant showering it with tabasco sauce to give it some flavor. I would go here again but only to order standard American dishes.
Very very nice Mel's dinner. I like it better then the Roseville location and ten times better then Rocklin location. The wait staff new some of the customers coming. Calling out to them and getting them by name. The food was great, excellent cook at this location. Our waitress was friendly and polite. This Mel's burger has an excellent atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat.
Great place with a old style feel! Staff was super friendly and completely on top of things with awesome service! Food was magnificent! Plenty of options and not to pricey! I really appreciate the ambiance of this diner. Our waitress was exceptional—she consistently checked on us and promptly brought us whatever we needed. The menu features a diverse selection of options, and the food always exceeds expectations.
The food and service were excellent. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was enjoyable. The salad was tasty, especially the ranch dressing. The Hawaiian burger paired with garlic fries was also delicious!
If you're in Southern California, this place brings to mind Ruby's, which I absolutely adore. Mel's never lets me down; I've never had a negative experience here. On top of that, the jukeboxes are really awesome!
The staff is extremely courteous, the service is prompt, and the food is outstanding. I really enjoy the ambiance, and I will definitely return!

Wasn't too busy for a Friday night. Server was on top of things. The food selection was pretty expansive. Love breakfast for dinner.
