Well, who would have thought, in amongst other nondescript shops in a nondescript suburban strip would we find such a gem of a restaurant-café ! Finding this place on Easter Saturday 2017 has made turned what is otherwise a good long weekend to a great one (and there's 2 more days to explore new dining spots) ! What I love about this place are its All-Day Breakfast and All-Day Lunch menus ! Woohoo ! Honestly, I would prefer lunchtime-fare at brekkie time over "normal" breakfasts. Following a recommendation from a local foodie friend, we popped in for breakfast while in the area and were not disappointed. This place knows how to make the usual items on a breakfast menu into something special. For lovers of baked beans, I can highly recommend the slow cooked beans with feta and poached egg, exploding with delicious herby flavours. The slow cooked pork benedict is also a winning twist on the regular eggs benedict. The chef(s) here obviously enjoy what they are plating up as much as we do, as everything looks beautiful on the plate and tastes great.
A menu with delicious food full of taste and flavour. Highly recommend the Shakshuka - Israeli baked eggs, my favourite. Love that they offer burgers without a side of chips. It's all about the burger. All food goes down a treat with a cup of chai latte. Ordering a leaf chai latte expect to wait a little as it is prepared with love. Oh yeah and friendly staff too.There are tables out front and a courtyard at the back too.
I found the staff to be insensitive and surprising not very caring. In this time and age with social media one would believe that the customer is important and worth keeping. Unfortunately with my experience I would definitely not recommend it even though it is one of our locals. There are to many better establishments in Carnegie and Bentleigh East to settle for this. Sorry this one I won't be coming back to.

Every now and then I indulge myself with a tasty breakfast and good coffee at the Ormond Provedore. Fast and friendly service and a varied menu. The smashed avocado with a poached egg is a favourite as is the pulled pork. The orange juice is also good. Perhaps a little pricey but isn't every indulgence.
The husband and I snuck off after a morning school drop off and decided to have a clandestine breakfast. The eggs were fantastic with fresh avocado tomato and spinach. The fresh OJ was refreshing and the latte rich and hot. Perfect!
Went there this morning for breakfast,after driving past many times. what a disappointment, the food was was below average to what was expected as described on the menu, but I did enjoy my pot of tea.
A lovely local cafe were you can have coffee, breakfast, lunch...... It has tables in front of the shop as well as a lovely courtyard in the back. Service with a smile and some great dishes.

The Ormond Provedore has been a family favourite for many years. We receive friendly service and great food. We all have our favourites but the specials board is always worth a look.
Delicious food and yummy fresh juices! Must try the Tarragon Chicken Ciabatta it's the best! Can't go past the eggs benedict either. Will always love this place.
