2017/07/30<br/ SWMBO was in the mood for a pub and a pint, and we landed on The Owl (A Firkin Pub). Yes, it's a part of a restaurant chain, and yes, we like the ambience, the decor (especially the Monty Python touches, like the bowler hat lampshades), and the menu. It was a sunny, warm Sunday evening, and there were more people on the patio than inside. <br/ <br/ SWMBO selected one of her pub favourites, Chicken Fingers. I went to this restaurant in the mid afternoon for lunch with some friends after work. It has a typical cozy pub atmosphere that is comfortable and inviting. I usually don't prefer pub food, but I have noticed that many pubs now offer healthier options on their menus. I decided to try the Pad Thai and requested it to be spicy. It was surprisingly good for pub fare, with moist chicken, perfectly cooked noodles, and just the right amount of spice. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was fun. Overall, if you're in the mood for pub food, this place is a solid choice.
I visited this restaurant for a friend's birthday. Since not all of us were of legal drinking age, we didn't order any drinks. However, I must say that the food here is fantastic. I ordered a goat cheese salad wrap, and although I can't remember all the ingredients, I do know that it was tasty. It came with fries, which were also good. I also tried a few bites of my friend's chicken pot pie, and it was delicious. As expected from a pub, the prices were a bit high. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy some delicious food.
I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend because of its name and location. We only had a couple of beers. The service was average, but I think it would be interesting to see how it is with food. There was a girl on the rooftop who was constantly checking on people. The music was good and the roof patio was nice, although the beer selection upstairs was not as large as it was downstairs. Unfortunately, three out of the four chairs at our table were broken, which was frustrating. Book a table now
Good pub. I found this little gem by accident while at the BMO IFL. First night I had The Firkin Burger, which was cooked to perfection by pub standards. Second night I had a delicious Steak Sandwich that was cooked to order. Third night, lets just say the Guinness was flowing smoothly until closing. <br/ <br/ I would recommended this pub if you are in the area at any hour. The food was good, waitresses were awesome and the game of darts was fun.
I've been coming here for 10 years and I love it. It's cozy, their beer has never been flat!! The servers are nice and their food is always good. I can honestly say I come here at least once a week for food and beverages and I love their daily specials! I love their nachos!!! I personally think their nachos are the best compared to any other place I have been to.
This place was great we were staying down the street at the comfort inn. We saw this place and went for dinner the atmosphere was great service was amazing and the food was delicious. The drinks we had were great to. The pricing was also decent food portions were perfect. Overall when we come back o Markham we will be eating here
First visit. Nice to go to the rooftop patio on a nice afternoon. Chips were plentiful and week cooked. Their pulled pork sandwich was small and ok. Would return to try more of their numerous options. Price was fair and service was decent. 75 Book a table now
Love the weekend special of $7 Coke Jack Ribs. Best ribs ever! Love the sauce and the juicy ribs. The Irish Nachos is amazing as well. Best combination found here, great food and darts!
