This pub is the best I have been to in Chippenham. Good home cooked food, fantastic atmosphere in the evenings and ALL the staff very friendly and welcoming. The Landlord and Landlady have followed the Government Guidelines to the letter and you feel completely safe being here. I can only assume that the bad comments on here (all on the same day) were a group who didnt agree with the government guidelines and got told off. I would recomend this pub to anybody looking for a great time out in a great atmosphere.
We were driving through on our way to Cardiff and getting hungry so we stopped by for a pint and a bit of lunch. We each had a pint. Mine was cider, crisp and refreshing. Had the chicken goulons (sp? . Really crispy and with 3 dipping sauces. Husband got a bigger than necessary burger and was happy. Bartender and cook were both nice as were the 2 spaniels that seemed to have free range.
I will never be returning to this place as they treated me like rubbish and was disrespectful to my whole family when we went in the landlord was nothing but rude to myself and my disabled mother with sly and horrible remarks , you couldn’t pay me enough to want to return to this place and I urge others to avoid by all means
DO NOT visit. I was accused of taking drugs whilst using the toilet by the landlord. I was enjoying my evening with my partner until this happened. This WAS my local where I spent a lot of money. I will not return again. Book a table now
Pub definitely needs new management, Landlord rude unpleasant to talk to. Very abrupt Would of thought they would at least try to be nice to customers specially as all businesses are suffering at the moment! Ah ho..
We visited The Pack House with all family. It was unforgettable time. They have everything for each taste in the menu. Food , drink entertainment. Will come back more. Highly recommend you to visit.
Plan was to pop in for few, but greeted by a rude male behind the bar. Once ordered and then speaking to a few locals this male appears to be the landlord. Just rude, sorry but not for me guys!
This is our favourite pub in Chippenham and we always pop in when visiting family. The pub is really well kept always really clean and tidy, with a cracking pint of Guinness! Book a table now
Ordered food and drink, very nice food and good selection of drink.. landlady was very helpful and friendly. Only here on holiday, will be back during our stay.
