"Just an outstanding meal, beers and service. The recommendations from the bar were spot on, beer went great with the food. Had the brisket, was fantastic.Read some of the negative reviews, no idea what they were talking about. Was a first class experince. Wish we had one in Rocky."

This was our first visit to paddock probably as a result of numerous bad reviews from friends. Having said that we were a group of 8 and we were invited to join a party of 8It is nice the see a local restaurant serving both local produce and drinks. The problem is however the Paddocks meals are a real hit and mis standard without any real consistency of standards. The resturarant through its own admission advised that their primary chef was away and the duty chef on the night was under trained. We chose the 900g strip loin to share it cost $110 it was terribly cooked and returned for addition cook time only to return still well below standard. The duck river steak is renound however the meat i...

We ordered tonight with 4 people where 2 of us got single meals and 2 of us shared a big plate where the chef chose what we get. So to the beginning we received a little apetizer where the mushrooms were excellent but the amount was not enough and the bread was dry. Then we all received our main meal at first we were suprised about the amount of meat and the sidedish, which were abosolutely dissapointing. The decoration and presentation on the plates was amazing but a bit uncofortable for eating. The meat was excellent but for this price not satisfying. We received aswell fish which was absolutely ordinary so in consideration of the price also disapointing. Now to the sidedishes , non of the...

I loved the concept of a little lane way beside the restaurant where you could indulge in either cheap eats, alcohol or both. A nice prelude to a meal.Greeted by nice decor, but with a mere 4 people eating (it was 7.30pm) it had me wondering. The concept they offer is cool, (based around, purportedly, the best produce available) that of a choosing a main (8 to choose from from memory), to which you add one side and one sauce. I chose the Pastured eye fillet with seasoned fries and cream of peppercorn sauce - medium with me explaining in great detail what my medium meant. My wife ordered Yellowfin Tune Steak with "Charred Duo" pumpkin and sweet potato side. Further to these, we decided to sha...

We booked a table for four and we were the first people in the restaurant that evening. We had promised our son ribs and he was very excited. When ordering, we were told that they had already ran out of ribs (despite being the first people in the restaurant that evening) due to a large booking they had of 30 odd people. 30 odd people don't just book a table that day. They obviously knew that this group was arriving that evening at least a couple of days prior. Here's an idea.........order some more **** ribs!!!!!! No Chardonnay on the menu either but had two or three choices of Sav Blancs. We ordered the eye fillet cooked medium. It came back well done and tasteless. The serving was NOT 200g... Sat night- maybe 10 people all night. Entree was beet cured tuna (nice albeit small) and pork belly (average). Mains beef ribs and chips (ribs were nice) and 300g sirloin (asked for medium came back very rare) with chorizo mushrooms ( chorizo was verrry pale and not reccomendable). Drinks were nice but very pricey ($19 I think!) and they had a limited ingredient list. Had some alcoholic desserts (ok) then paid. Thought we would have another cocktail and sit in the bar while waiting for a taxi, were told to sit out in the laneway and they would bring drinks- nearly froze to death- laneway was totally empty and the drinks took over 15 mins while we waited in the wind. I have no idea why we cou...

I took my wife to The Paddock, on her request, for her birthday and there were highs and lows. Don't get me wrong...the beef ribs were to die for, they were excellent, but my wife and daughter both had dishes that included a Texan BBQ sauce and it was really ordinary...more like a chutney. It hasn't been open long and I think the owners are still learning how to run a successful restaurant, but they'd better learn quick. When we wanted desert, and we all wanted pie, we were informed that their freezer had broken over the weekend and there was no ice cream...WTF. Every desert on the menu came with ice cream, so of course we did not have desert. How hard would it have been to just go to Woolie...

This is our second time coming here, first time being about 1-1,5 years ago. The food took quite a while to come out, saying that we should've ordered appetisers. We were kindly asked by our waiter as he took our order but we decided not which was our own mistake. I must say my dish, the chicken, was more on the cold side and would've any of the waitstaff come around to our table this could've been pointed out. It wasn't a very big let down because it was still so delicious! My partner enjoyed his ribs, I had a try and it was very tender. Order the banoffee pie if you have room left for dessert. Lovely ambience and very friendly staff!

We ordered tuna and grilled vegies through room service in our motel. What arrived 20 mins later looked weird, cost nearly 100 bucks and was not fit for human consumption. The vegies were wilted and chewy, the tuna raw and tasting off, and for some reason we got what remotely smelled of chicken but tasted like cardboard. We returned the dinner untouched, and the staff didn't even notice. If you value your gastric health, maybe skip. There is a Hungry Jacks up the road for desperados. Book a table now

A nice decorated inside, and very attentive staff.Very well presented and plated, the meals looked very appealing. Both our steaks were very well cooked as you'd expect from a good streak restaurant. The entrance was a bit crowded, and it was a bit challenging at the bar (also at the entrance).A great place to come for a good steak, but it didn't rock my world.
