Arrived at 7:30pm and decided to have a drink on the terrace before dinner. The young staff who greeted us and took our drinks order were pleasant if a little uncertain. The bartender had to 'go get some Rose ' which was brought out to my friend after about 10 minutes. Walking though the rather clinical glass door into the restaurant, there were only 5 or so others in the restaurant. We waited about 10 minutes for the friendly waiter to take our drinks order. I had the eye fillet with jus, both pleasant, accompanied by a bowl of average chips and mixed leaves a small serve of baby watercress, seemingly undressed. Beginning from front of house on our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to receive such friendly, excellent service from maître d, bar staff and waiting staff. Coupled with so much attention to detail and a wonderful meal, this made our whole anniversary dining experience even more pleasurable. An enjoyable evening!
Had a lovely evening here, loved the style and ambiance of the venue, and the great service from all of the staff. However, it unfortunately was very quiet. I do hope this was a one off, as it would be a shame for such a great venue not to flourish.
Lovely ambience in this elegant restaurant, very 20s speakeasy in style. Food was great and service attentive. Great cocktail bar if you feel like kicking in after lunch.
