We were staying in Ludlow and called into The Plaice for a takeaway evning meal. We chose kebab and chips; both kebabs were on naan bread, rather than pitta (also available), a great alternative. The quality and portions sizes were excellent, and the staff friendly. If we live nearby, we would be regular customers, for the menu choices are extensive and the prices offer tremendous value. Great place (er, no pun).
We ordered veggie korma and a chicken saag, basically they were both slop. 6 peas a lump of spud do not make a veggie korma, the chicken saag was better, but not much it was slimy inedible, the chicken was very overcooked. Mushroom rice was okay, keema naan not bad. The poppadums were stale. On the whole rubbish
Just had the worst fish and chips I’ve had in years! Chips greasy, fish full of bones and the most un naturally green mushy peas and not cheap : £10 for fish, chips and mushy peas!! (And drink). Fish had hard edges and chewy. Terrible !!
Quite frankly the best Indian chicken kebab I've ever had in my life! Great value for money and the proprieter was very friendly and polite. Would recommend The Plaice over and above more expensive places to buy food. Book a table now
We went to The Plaice for our fish and chip supper,it very beautiful,the fish was so fresh,cooked to order and there special potatoes were gorgeous so spicy,will visit again
genuinley the best chippy ive ever had, the currys are sensational, also the portion sizes are crazy, much better than the competitor in ludlow
Portion sizes are huge, mini fish and chips for mother excellent, chicken kebab in naan with chips is a two person meal and superb value at £6.
Chips were lukewarm, probably heated up, very "bitty. Tasted of curry, Disappointing and won 't be returning. Book a table now
